About stale.love

stale.love is a free relationship health diagnostic built on research from Gottman, Aron, and validated relationship assessment tools. It exists because most people who notice their relationship drifting either don't know how to measure it or don't know where to start fixing it.

The quiz measures four areas that relationship researchers have consistently identified as predictive of long-term relationship quality: communication, intimacy, shared goals, and conflict patterns. Results are private by default. You don't need an account to take the quiz.

The guided exercises are based on interventions that have demonstrated effectiveness in peer-reviewed research. None of them require a therapist to implement, though we recommend couples therapy for anyone whose scores indicate serious distress.
